श्राद्ध की प्रक्रिया में सर्वप्रथम चावल के पिंड बनाकर पितरों को अर्पित किए जाते हैं. इसके बाद इन पिंडों को जल में प्रवाहित किया जाता है या फिर ब्राह्मणों को दिया जाता है. इसके बाद जल में तिल, चावल, और कुशा डालकर पूर्वजों को अर्पित किया जाता है. तर्पण करने का उद्देश्य पितरों को तृप्त करना होता है.

घर पर ऐसे करें तर्पण (Pitru Paksha 2024 Tarpan Vidhi) पितृ देवता के मंत्रों से उनका आवाहन करें। कुश की जूड़ी लेकर जल से भरे लोटे में डालें। फिर पितरों का नाम लेते हुए जल चढ़ाएं। इसके साथ ही दूध, दही, घी आदि को भी जल में मिलाकर अर्पित करें।
